Veritas Nursery
Eligibility, Intakes and Visits
Veritas Nursery can offer places to children the term after their 3rd birthday and we offer three intakes per year to enable parents to apply once their child has turned 3 years old:
Autumn Term (September)
Spring Term (January)
Summer Term (April)
Prior to each intake we hold an Open Evening for prospective parents to visit our Nursery and meet the Early Years Team. This provides parents with an insight into our setting and an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

Making an enquiry for a later intake
If you would like to be added to our enquiry list, please complete and submit the Enquiry Form below. Once submitted, your details will be held on file for us to contact you closer to the time with information of the Open Evening that would be relevant for your child. At this time you will also be provided a link to complete the online application form and details of the application process.
Offers of places
A deadline will be set for applications to be submitted for each intake. Following this deadline all applications are reviewed. If we receive more applications than places available, our admissions criteria will be applied. You can view our admissions criteria by selecting the relevant policy here.
Parents will be notified by email to confirm whether a place can be offered or not. If we don't receive a response from you within the timeframe given, we may allocate the place to the next person on the waiting list.
Child-centered learning
We offer a tailored child-centered learning experience where your children work towards the early learning goals but learn through play. We offer a warm caring environment where your children feel safe and each child is given the opportunity to reach their full potential, enabling them to develop their own sense of self-worth. Staff plan activities to ensure each of the development areas are covered; thus helping each child move on to the next stage of development, whilst enhancing their natural desire to learn. We have created an environment where all our children can make their own discoveries, both indoors and outdoors, as well as exploring the cultures and festivals of others – both in this country and around the world.
Transition to school
Although acceptance into our Nursery does not guarantee a place in our Reception class, both Reception and Nursery work closely together to ensure a smooth transition into mainstream education. Our EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) classrooms are furnished and equipped to a very high standard.
