At Veritas Primary Academy, we use technology to enhance learning both in school and at home. Our online learning platforms provide children with additional opportunities to practise skills, consolidate understanding, access high-quality resources and celebrate their learning. Technology is carefully integrated into our curriculum to support engagement, independence and achievement for all pupils.

Seesaw is our primary online learning platform. Teachers use Seesaw to set learning activities, share resources and provide feedback. Children can respond in a variety of ways, including drawing, typing, recording audio and uploading photographs of their work. Parents can also view their child's learning journey and celebrate their achievements.
Google Classroom provides a secure online environment where learning materials, assignments and resources can be shared. It gives pupils access to additional learning opportunities and enables teachers to provide guidance and feedback when required.
Class Dojo strengthens communication between home and school. We use the platform to share important messages, celebrate successes and keep families informed about learning and school life.
To further support learning, pupils have access to a range of high-quality educational platforms and resources, including:
These resources provide engaging practice activities, instructional videos and curriculum-aligned content that children can access both in school and at home.
At Veritas, we recognise that every child learns differently. Many of the digital tools we use include accessibility features such as voice recording, text-to-speech and alternative ways of recording responses. For pupils with additional needs, learning can be adapted and personalised to ensure every child can access the curriculum successfully.

Parents and carers play a vital role in supporting online learning. Through our digital platforms, families can:
Online safety is an important part of our curriculum and school culture. We teach children how to use technology responsibly, keep personal information secure and behave respectfully online. We also work closely with parents to promote safe and positive digital habits both in school and at home.
Our online learning offer helps ensure that learning does not stop when the school day ends. By combining high-quality classroom teaching with carefully selected digital resources, we enable pupils to practise, explore and deepen their learning while strengthening the partnership between school and home.
