Pupil Parliament brings together children from REAch2 schools across the country to discuss, debate and influence issues that matter to them. Each year, REAch2 Academy Trust selects a group of pupils to represent their schools, giving a wide range of children the opportunity to take part over time.
Working together, pupils explore current topics that are relevant to young people and wider society, developing their views and sharing ideas in a supportive and respectful environment. Debates focus on real-world issues that are being discussed across communities and in the public domain, helping children engage with subjects that affect their lives now and in the future.
Pupil Parliament sessions may take place in schools or at special venues, including the Houses of Parliament, where pupils can experience democracy in action. Each yearly event brings together around 20 children from different schools and encourages collaboration, critical thinking, and communication.
