Music

At Veritas, music is a vibrant and exciting part of school life. We believe every child should have the opportunity to discover the joy of music, whether that is through singing, performing, listening, composing or learning an instrument.

Through engaging music lessons, children explore a wide range of musical styles and traditions while developing an understanding of the key building blocks of music, including rhythm, melody, tempo, dynamics, timbre and structure. As their confidence grows, they learn to perform, create and appreciate music in meaningful and enjoyable ways.

Beyond the classroom, there are even more opportunities for children to shine. Pupils can join our school choir, where they perform together and develop their vocal talents, or learn an instrument and become part of a school band, experiencing the excitement of making music as a team.
