Veritas Parents Teachers Friends Association (PTFA) is a volunteer-led community group working alongside the school to raise funds, organise events and help provide additional opportunities, resources and experience for children across the school.
We also help build a strong school community, bringing together families, staff and friends of the school through activities that are enjoyable, welcoming and worthwhile.
The objectives of our PTA quite simply are to organise fundraising activities, to involve as many people (pupils, parents, teachers) as possible and to make the activities fun!
All money raised by the PTFA from the generous support of the school community is used directly to benefit all children who attend Veritas Primary Academy.

Each year, the PTFA provides a programme of regular funding across the school, which includes:
* £1000 towards Year 6 Leavers activities.
* Funding for Forest School, EYFS and playground resources.
* SATs treats for children in Years 2 and 6.
* Ice-pops for all children and staff on sports days.
Throughout the year, any member of staff can request PTFA funding for an item, resource or activity they have identified that would benefit the children.
This allows us to respond to ideas and needs from across the school and support opportunities that might not otherwise be possible within the school's usual budget.
This year we are fundraising to:
Alongside our regular funding and staff requests, each year the PTFA will work towards a larger fundraising goal.
The goal will be published to the school community so everyone can see what we are raising money for, why it has been chosen, and what difference it will make to the children.
Throughout the year, we organise a variety of fundraising activities and events, which may include:
We regularly review what we do and welcome feedback and new ideas from families.
Every parent, grandparent or carer of a child at Veritas Primary Academy is part of our PTFA community.
Getting involved does not mean you have to attend meetings or make a regular commitment. You can help in whatever way works for you — whether that's volunteering for an hour at an event, donating a prize, sharing an idea, helping behind the scenes or joining our WhatsApp Volunteer Group
Your contribution can be as large or small as you wish.
If you would like to get involved, suggest an idea or find out more, contact us at [email protected]
Upcoming events, fundraising activities, our annual fundraising goal and opportunities to get involved will be shared through the school's usual communication channels and the Veritas PTFA Facebook page.
Every event attended, all donations made, ideas shared, and hours volunteered help us provide more opportunities for the children at Veritas.
