History

At Veritas, we believe that History should inspire pupils to develop a curiosity and fascination about the past and how it has shaped the world we live in today. Through our engaging and knowledge-rich curriculum, children learn about significant events, influential individuals, ancient civilisations, and key periods in British and world history.

We encourage pupils to think critically, ask questions, analyse evidence, and develop an understanding of how historians investigate the past. Our aim is for children to gain a strong sense of chronology and historical understanding while making meaningful connections between the past and present.

We want all pupils to enjoy and value History, not only through high-quality classroom learning but also through enriching experiences, educational visits, and the exploration of historical artefacts and sources.
